NAACP Issues

Appalled at the violence that was committed against blacks in the race riot in Springfield Ill in 1908, a group of white liberals issued a call for a meeting to discuss racial justice.

Some 60 people, seven of whom were African American (including W. E. B. Du Bois, Ida B. Wells and Mary Church Terrell), signed the call, which was released on the centennial of Lincoln's birth.

For the first 75 years of its existence, the NAACP has recording successes in  securing the promise of Black Americans in a political climate which was advancing the values of the public interest.

Today, Americans no longer understand or honor public interest values.  In view of this, what should the NAACP’s strategy be for the 21 Century?
